Sumant is an AI Evangelist, Public Speaker (AI Keynotes and Panel Discussion), Mentor, AI Innovation and Delivery Leader; Areas of work - NLP, Metaverse, Machine Learning & Deep Learning. 


Sumant holds 17 years of experience and has a Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence (NLP) from IIIT-B. He has filed more than 30 unique patents and has published more than 10 international research papers in AI. Over the years, apart from NLP, he has also worked on computer vision, advanced analytics, and metaverse and has delivered innovative solutions to customers.

 

Sumant strongly believes in the use of technology for social good. He mentors people in AI and also provides career guidance. He had also been an Adjunct Faculty at IIIT Bangalore.

 

Sumant was heading the AI practice and R&D at Zensar for the Data Science division in his last stint.


Sumant has a great interest in almost-organic farming and is also practicing it too. He has been a vivid reader and loves to read about political commentaries, history, scientific advancements, legal systems, etc,. He is also an aspiring writer (Kannada), but writes at a slow pace though.
